Andrea Bonderup(she/her) is Danish photographer based in The Hague.
Andrea work predominantly with photography, ceramic and installation. Her multidisciplinary approach allows her to form different perspectives and create new dimensions to her practice.
At the centre of Andrea´s practice is storytelling, whether that be of the personal stories, the generational stories, and/or the universal stories. She believes that when we meet through conversation, we create spaces in which we can connect and unite.
Hyper-aware and reactive by nature, Andrea loves to explore the world around her by examining its structures both critically but also with empathy and playfulness. Her practice is activist revolving around womanhood and gender-based discrimination, with striving for equality always being at the core of her values.
Andrea´s work is anchored in everyday life. She finds that conflicts, comments and questions often hide in the mundane, and that by zooming in on them we can zoom out and form a greater picture.
